Early Childhood Academy PCS (ECA) continues to shine as a beacon of educational excellence in the Ward 8 community. Since its opening in 2005, ECA has been a leading prekindergarten through grade 3 charter school, consistently delivering outstanding performance.

In its inaugural ranking year of 2016, ECA was honored as a Tier 1 “High Performing School” and maintained this prestigious status through the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 school years. Our commitment to academic excellence is further reflected in our scores, which surpass the state average on the statewide PARCC assessment. ECA stands out as one of the top-performing prekindergarten through grade 3 schools in Ward 8, as highlighted by the DC Public Charter School Board’s “School Quality Report”.

We are proud to announce that ECA has once again been recognized as a 2025 BOLD Performance School by Empower K12, joining our previous 2017 accolade. This distinction is awarded to schools that demonstrate exceptional academic performance, with proficient rates for students at least 10 percentage points higher than schools with similar demographics. Such achievements underscore our dedication to fostering an environment where students thrive academically.

Since 2014, ECA has also been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, further affirming our commitment to providing a high-quality educational experience.
